This 10-piece handmade Damascus kitchen knife set gives you a complete cutting system for every kitchen task. From heavy cleaver work to fine paring cuts, each knife in this set has a specific job — and is built to do it well.
Every blade is hand-forged from high-carbon Damascus steel. The layered construction gives each blade strong edge retention and impact resistance. The twist pattern across each blade forms naturally during the forging process. No two blades look the same.
Blades in this set range from 12 inches down to 6 inches overall. This range covers every task from full-length slicing to close-detail peeling without using an oversized or undersized knife for the job.
Each knife has a blue pakkawood handle fitted with a steel bolster. Pakkawood is a compressed wood and resin composite. It resists moisture, does not warp, and holds its color under regular kitchen use. The steel bolster adds weight near the blade junction for better cutting balance. Full tang construction runs through every handle, keeping each knife structurally strong during both heavy and light work.
The set comes with a black leather knife roll for storage and transport.

Handle and Build Detail
Blue Pakkawood Handles
Blue pakkawood is made from compressed layers of natural wood bonded with resin. The blue dye runs through the full handle — it does not chip or fade with regular use. The surface gives a firm, non-slip grip whether your hands are dry or damp.
Steel Bolsters
Every knife in this set has a steel bolster at the blade-to-handle junction. This adds front-end weight that improves cutting balance and protects the handle from stress during heavy prep work.
Full Tang Construction
The blade steel runs through the full length of every handle in this set. This prevents the handle from separating under load and keeps the knife balanced from tip to base.
Frequently Asked Questions
What knives are included in this 10-piece set?
The set includes a Chef Knife, Santoku, Slicing Knife, Cleaver/Nakiri, Bread Knife, Boning Knife, two Utility Knives, and two Paring/Steak Knives. Each knife covers a specific cutting task, so there is no overlap in the set.
What is the size range of the blades?
The largest knife is 12 inches overall. The smallest is 6 inches overall. The remaining eight knives fall within this range based on their intended use.
What is blue pakkawood made from?
Blue pakkawood is a laminated composite made from natural wood layers bonded with resin under high pressure. It is denser and more moisture-resistant than untreated wood. The blue color is stable and does not fade with regular kitchen use or hand washing.
Is high-carbon Damascus steel suitable for everyday kitchen use?
Yes. High-carbon Damascus steel holds a sharp edge well under regular use. It performs best when hand-washed, dried immediately after use, and stored away from other utensils that can damage the blade edge.
Does this set come with storage?
Yes. The set includes a black leather knife roll. This keeps all 10 knives organized, protects the blade edges during storage, and makes the set easy to transport to outdoor cooking events or professional kitchen settings.

Product Care for JW SteelCrafts Hand-Forged Products
To ensure the longevity and beauty of your hand-forged JW SteelCrafts products, follow these essential care instructions:
- Regular Cleaning
Wipe your knives, swords, axes, and rings with a soft cloth to remove dust and debris. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution and a non-abrasive cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasives that could damage the steel’s finish. - Dry Thoroughly
After cleaning, ensure your product is completely dried. This helps prevent water spots, rust, or corrosion, particularly on blades and steel surfaces exposed to moisture. - Proper Storage
Store your hand-forged products in a dry, cool place to prevent oxidation or rust. For long-term storage, consider applying a thin layer of oil (e.g., mineral oil or gun oil) to the metal surfaces, or using a rust inhibitor. When storing knives and swords, keep them in protective sheaths or pouches to prevent contact with other materials. - Avoid Impact
While designed for strength and durability, avoid dropping or striking your steel products against hard surfaces. This can cause damage to the blade, edge, or overall integrity of the piece. - Edge Maintenance (For Knives & Swords)
Periodically sharpen the blades to maintain their cutting edge. Use a proper sharpening stone or take your product to a professional for maintenance. Always sharpen in the correct direction to preserve the blade’s integrity. - Routine Inspection
Regularly inspect your products for any signs of wear, rust, or damage. If you notice any issues, reach out to us for maintenance, restoration, or repair services.
By following these care instructions, your JW SteelCrafts products will retain their craftsmanship, functionality, and beauty for years to come.
